A Noodle In Squid Ink

"Oh!" Scout shrieked as she saw Vertigo crawl out from the fallen beast. "Oh, you felled the creature! Oh, heavens, you are as covered in blackness as a noodle in squid ink!"

"Yeah sure, whatever the hell you just said." He replied, wiping the goo off his goggles so he could see.

Scout prodded the dead creature with one foot. "Alas, I don't think it's edible," she said mournfully. "Well! This hunt goes to you, sir, but I shall win the next one.

Vertigo finally dragged himself to a standing position and stripped off his light, blue jacket. He had underneath a tattered,white short sleeved shirt. He stepped aside and shook it, black goo flying away from everyone. Vertigo wrung it out, and once he got it as clean as possible, put it back on and pulled up his hood.

Scout glanced away as Vertigo shook the goo off his jacket. She cleared her throat a tad awkwardly once he was finished. "Right then! Onwards and beyond?
